As far as I know Sorkin never endorses Democratic Socialism and here is a clip of Sorkin praising the Fed for bailing out banks in 2008 (As if bailing out people who had the mortgages instead of the banks wasn't an alternative.) Sorkin is an NYT columnist and very unlikely to have the kind of politics you are describing. Yes I see now what you are saying that had Obama endorsed Democratic Socialism, even via a book endorsement, that would be very out of character. Find a book that Obama endorses that explicitly advocates Democratic Socialism and I will admit I am wrong.
