In both his first term and this one, Trump's main job has been to lower taxes for the extremely wealthy at the expense of the poor. It's BAU but since inequality is so high now it ends up actually killing Americans. All of Trump's policies that actually go anywhere are part of this transfer from poor to rich - tariffs, tax changes, and cutting health care.

Furthermore George W. was also in the business of destroying everything for the rich as well as the poor. The tax cuts and Iraq war shifted trillions away from the infrastructure necessary to keep America running; don't forget the end of his second term ended in the worst recession since the great depression.

This Trump as outsider thing is nonsense. Trump was helped into office by the richest man in the world and almost all the oligarchs kissed his ring.

Finally let's talk rule of law. George W put radicals John Roberts and Samuel Alito on the Supreme Court. Men who would stop at nothing to undermine all precedent. George W started the Iraq war under completely false pretences. George W created the Department of Homeland Security and signed the Patriot Act.

Sure Trump now goes further bucking rule of law than George W does but that's only because he's standing on the shoulders of psychopaths before him.
